Privacy policy
Short, because there is not much to say. We collect what the service needs and nothing for resale.
Who we are
Macswarm operates macswarm.com and the Macswarm service. Contact: info@macswarm.com. The company’s registered name and address will be listed here before general availability; until then, the email address reaches the people responsible for this policy.
This website
- Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare sees the request data any web host sees (IP address, user agent, requested URL) and keeps it according to its own retention. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Analytics. When enabled, the site uses Plausible, which does not use cookies and does not identify visitors. It records page views and the country, browser and device class derived from the request, and discards the IP address.
- Early-access signup. When you request access we store your email address, the agent you run, your team size, your company name and your note, together with a hash of your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string for abuse prevention. We use this to open your account and answer you. Stored in Cloudflare D1 in the EU; deleted on request or 12 months after the last contact if no account is opened.
- Email. Replies and sign-in links come from our mail provider; the address book is us, not a marketing list. No newsletter without asking first.
- Cookies. The site sets no tracking cookies. The light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us.
The service
- Account data. Email address, organization name, billing contact, and the environments and webhooks you connect. Kept while the account exists and for the period tax law requires for invoices afterwards.
- Usage data. Session start and end, which developer started it, Pod-hours used, the events the agent reports, and the logs and screenshots the agent produces. Logs and screenshots are retained for 30 days (shorter on request for Team and Enterprise), usage records for the life of the account.
- Your code. Repositories are cloned into a Pod for the session and destroyed with the Pod. We keep no copy and do not inspect their content. Model requests go directly from the Pod to Anthropic or OpenAI under your own account; Macswarm does not store prompts or completions.
- Region. Pods, logs and screenshots stay in the region you chose per environment: EU (Netherlands) or US.
- Payments. Card payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle receives the payment details; we receive the subscription status and an invoice reference.
Processors
Cloudflare (hosting, storage), Paddle (payments), our transactional email provider, Plausible (analytics, when enabled), and the data-center operators that house our Macs in the Netherlands and the US. Each processes data on our instructions under a data-processing agreement.
Legal basis and your rights
We process account, usage and signup data to perform the contract with you and to run the service securely (legitimate interest). You can ask for a copy of your data, correction, deletion or export at info@macswarm.com; we answer within 30 days. EU residents can complain to their national data-protection authority.
Changes
We note changes here with the review date above and tell account owners by email when a change affects what we collect.
